As a Dr. Sears Certified Health Coach I was trained to teach families and
adults to focus on the quality of the foods your are eating vs the quantity of food. Especially when it comes to children and their growing bodies.
Let them serve themselves and never make them clean their plates.
I promise you if you fill your plates with more nutrient dense healthy
fruits and veggies with every meal, you will naturally crowd out the junk. And when you crowd out the junk you will reset your tastes and begin to crave a more healthful diet of real whole minimally processed foods.

So many adults are focused on losing weight to improve overall health. It is important to remember this is just one piece of the puzzle. It comes as no surprise to me that a New Study Finds The Key to Weight Loss ( and Optimal Health ) is Diet Quality, Not Quantity!
If you are having trouble embracing the idea that diet quality is more
important than quantity (i.e. counting calories), you’re going to find this
article very helpful! In a recent published study researchers found that
people who reduced added sugar, refined grains and highly processed
foods and concentrated on eating lots of vegetables and whole foods,
were able to lose significant amounts of weight over the course of a year. It’s really that simple. EAT more really Whole Foods. Be patient. Embrace the fact the really lasting change takes time.   Click here to read the full article, The Key to Weight Loss Is Diet Quality.
