FIVE Unhealthy HABITS TO BREAK!
1
FORGETTING TO MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF
Between family, work, friends and life, it can be hard to take time for YOU. LOVE THYSELF.
COACH TIP: At least once a week, make a plan to do the things you enjoy — head to the park with family, meet a friend for an exercise class or book a spa day.
2
SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME ON SOCIAL MEDIA
The average person spends almost two hours per day on social media. It’s just too much. It’s a TIME ZAPPER squandering precious time.
COACH TIP: Try to give up TV or Social for a few days a week or Schedule a set amount time to check your social media networks, then shut it down. Sidebar: your fiends won’t like this and they may try to mutiny but they will learn to not take it personally when you take a tech break. ( well at least I think my friends are used to it now LOL)
3
STARTING TOMORROW
Continually telling yourself you’ll start tomorrow is an unproductive. There will never be a perfect time to make a change. The rest of your life starts today.
PRO TIP: Set a timer to tackle some of your goals. Just 20 minutes of walking can go a long way. Small changes add up and help ensure success long-term.
4
STAYING INDOORS ALL DAY
8+ hours at an office (often sitting behind a computer screen) and then the evening scramble home to cook, clean and get the kids to bed. DID YOU SEE THE SUN TODAY? We need a little fresh air daily. Sunshine boosts vitamin D levels and serotonin, a hormone that helps improve mood.
5
NEGATIVE SELF-TALK
Our inner voice directly impacts our success and happiness. I WISH I KNEW THAT 30 YEARS AGO.
Find ways to add positivity to your day in any way you can. Smile! Accept where you are now. Speak kindly to yourself. If you need to write a note on your mirror, do it!! I do. YOU NEED A SELF PEP TALK. BECAUSE YOU ARE AWESOME JUST THE WAY YOU ARE. YOU GOT THIS!!
